“I came here to help out five years ago and found I was getting more out of the experience than I had imagined,“ said Pete. “I find peace and humor, both from staff and residents. I leave here feeling blessed and plan to be around for a long time.“
Many on staff tell friends and family about job opportunities when there is an opening. “The Sisters and director treat us like family,” Irma said, who celebrated her 30th year at Nazareth House San Diego. “They care about our well-being and make sure we have the tools to do our jobs. And they make us feel welcome.”
